How many of you use Word to author files to import to RoboHelp? Since our authors are familiar with Word, it make sense to use Word as our souce documents and import into RoboHelp. Our documentation has periodic updates, so only changed Word files would need to be imported once a project is built. This also allows us to use Word files for reviews. I am aware of the pitfalls of importing Word files into RoboHelp from information gathered at grainge.org.

You know how, in those Slasher flicks, when the clueless teenagers say "Let's check out the cellar," and everyone in the audience yells "NOOOOO!"?

Yeah, like that.

Instead of importing the Word files, have everyone use the Track Changes functionality and only paste the pieces of changed content where they belong.

Good luck,
Leon

I agree with MergeThis. Cut and paste what you need from Word into RH. I prefer to use the RH editor in RoboHTML to create topics. Importing from Word can be slow and painful and require more cleanup than you'll want to deal with.
