All Adobe AIR Applications stopped function today, what happened?

    indierocknroll06

I'm running OS X 10.6.3, all of my Adobe AIR applications stopped functioning today.

Here is a list of all the Adobe AIR applications that I use...

Now here is the error that each of them have been giving me as of today...

I have changed absolutely nothing with any of these apps, or Adobe AIR in a very long time... I actually haven't even installed anything to my knowledge in a few weeks.

I have tried reinstalling all of these apps, reinstalling Adobe AIR... everything. I've tried everything.

Can anyone assist me in figuring out what is wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.

          Hi,

Sorry your running into this.  Would you mind providing the output the following commands so we can get a better idea with what might be going on?

First we'll get the version of the AIR runtime.  In terminal use the following command:

          cat /Applications/Utilities/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer.app/Contents/Info.plist

then we'll look at the namespace of one of the AIR applications, be sure to change <AppName> appropriately.

          head /Applications/<AppName>.app/Contents/Resources/META-INF/AIR/application.xml

          Thanks,

          Chris

That looks correct.  Under normal circumstatnces you should not be getting this error with the runtime you have installed.  Can you verify the contents of /Libary/Frameworks/Adobe AIR.framework/Versions/1.0/Adobe AIR?  Also, could you try fixing permissions and see if that matters?

              Thanks,

              Chris

                Thank you for your assistance.

I'm not quite sure what fixed these applications... however they started working today.

For reference, they did not work last night and I did not really do anything in between the time they weren't working and started working again...

                Thanks anyways!
