I have a Timer that fires an event in event 1 second (1000 millisecond). Conpared to my atomic clock, I found that the Flex Timer is
slower - about 6 seconds in 30 minutes. I'm running the Flex Timer on my laptop. Is the higher load on my computer causes the slower Timer class?
The timer events should be considered as "The event will fire in at least X milliseconds or more" rather than "The event will fire in X milliseconds".
Flash will wait at least X miliseconds before running the timer handler, but there's no guarantee exactly when, just "not sooner than".
Don't try and use flash for timing to that accuracy.
If you need precision, use getTimer(); which is not frame based like Timer.
