Yeah, that's a pretty convoluted error message.
Have you resaved the file in FW CS5? If not try that first.
Or it may have to do with state names. Check to make sure your states don't have any spaces or special characters in the names.
Thank you for your response.
I have resaved the file in FWCS5. And all of my pages have names without spaces or strange characters. If I export a single page, then catalyst accepts the file, but it looks very strange. Some of my backgrounds are larger than original and my buttons are really messed up. Perhaps it's not possible to export a FW-file with some or more functionality, like working buttons and roll-over states at ones? Do I have to export the stripped pages one at a time?
Normally I have exported the FW-file as HTML and CSS into DW. That works fine and I have got a real working website (http://www.voedselbankgorinchem.nl/). So I wanted to try to make a simular website with Catalyst. If I send you the PNG (out of FW) can you find out why its is not working?

I don't think I can answer everything here, but I will do what I can.
Backgrounds too large:
If your background elements extend past the canvas dimensions in Fireworks, FXG will still export the entire graphic and base the project dimensions on that size, rather than the canvas size in FW.
Buttons messed up:
Interactivity will not be carried over to FC. You will have to convert the FW button to a button component in FC and then add your interactivity.
I haven't had a lot of experience in this area, but there should not be any issue exporting multiple pages at the same time. I've done it a few times with no issue.
I'll be happy to take a look at things, but I'm no FC guru.
Today I have imported the "ecotours_ui.psd" (from the tutorial "Getting started with Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5"). This template-file has one page, so I have copied some layers back as pages into the Fireworks-file. Now I had the same setup as my "voedselbank-website", but without any interactivity. This is perfectly accepted within Catalyst (even my pages are separately imported).
Now I can make some functionality in Catalyst and perhaps do my thing in Flash Builder as well.
So it seems to work just fine now. I thank you very much for your kind assistance on this matter.
PS: I like to watch your instruction videos on the subject .
Thanks Jurrien. I'm glad you ot things sorted out.
