    Fireworks/Alpha Channel Question

    joer27
I am looking at a picture of a ship with a map covering the outline of the ship. If I ungroup the picture, there is a ship on top of a map. The text says "The saioling ship in the sample is a bitmap mask of the ship and a map with the Alpha channel option selected." Can someone please explain to me how this works? I apologize for the skimpy information.

There are actually a couple of ways to do that. Try this one. Cut the
map image to the clipboard (Edit > Cut), and then select the ship and
          choose Edit > Paste inside.
