    embed an html widget




      I would like to embed in a flash page an html code who create a widget. Is it possible? And if yes how.

          Hi Alex,


          There are basically two ways to accomplish this.  Either route, though, you will have to do some of the work outside of Flash Catalyst.


          1. Use JavaScript to position an <iframe> containing the HTML content over top of the Flash content.  Here is one thread about how to do this.  You can use Flash's ExternalInterface topass information back & forth between the widget and your Flash content, if needed.  (Or, if it gets very involved, you can use Flash Builder's "Flex-Ajax bridge" feature).

          2. Create an Adobe AIR desktop application rather than a browser-based Flash application.  AIR applications can freely mix HTML and Flash content with any type of nesting.  To integrate HTML content, you will need to migrate your Catalyst project to a development environment such as Flash Builder.
