I have an asp page that I'm creating in Dreamweaver. The database has magazine articles that I've placed html tags for bold, italics, paragraphs, etc in the memo field containing the article itself. In Frontpage there was a Column Contains HTML option that would allow the memo field to display correctly. I can't find a similar function in Dreamweaver.
In a word, no.
Frontpage had its own way of doing things. Sometimes very helpful and beginner friendly, sometimes downright "unique".
Can you post the code from the ASP page so we can see how the Memo field from the database is being displayed via ASP?
Perhaps that's not the issue, though, because the html paragraph tags work, the images and tables work, but the quote marks and long hyphens are turning into blocks.
I solved it. I changed the encoding to charset=windows-1252. That's what the original, working version used (Frontpage).
