1. Re: Why is output creating as *.GIF?
Bill Hunt Jun 1, 2010 6:52 PM (in response to talbot)Is there Transparency in that image? If so, then PNG, GIF, PSD or a format that supports that will be you choices. JPEG does NOT support Transparency.
Good luck,
Hunt

talbot Jun 1, 2010 7:04 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)Thanks for you help!
I'm not really using any of the transparent images but using them as background images and then putting text over the top. Is there a way to force it?

3. Re: Why is output creating as *.GIF?
Bill Hunt Jun 1, 2010 9:23 PM (in response to talbot)That will depend on the structure of the individual images. Can you use PNG? That is my choice for continuous tone images that have any sort of Transparency. I am just not a GIF fan, but do not do a lot of Web work.
Maybe post a screen-cap of that image w/ the Layers Palette open, and someone can give you exact pointers.
Good luck,
Hunt

talbot Jun 1, 2010 10:40 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)Yup, I prefer png too. I'll probably just live with it or convert them to png...

5. Re: Why is output creating as *.GIF?
Zeno Bokor Jun 2, 2010 12:00 AM (in response to talbot)When saving multiple slices with Save for Web & Devices you have to set the file format and all those settings for each slice in part (or all at once if you first select them all). You probably only set the options for the slice that was active while the rest of them were still configured to use GIF.

Thanks,
