Hello, one and all.
I'm having a little trouble figuring this one out. Basically, I've built an application which is working fine. I have a 'settings' button that overlays a settings window, semi transparent, over the main application, that has some buttons on it.
The problem I'm having is that the buttons on the main window are still selectable, which I don't want. How can I get it to stop tracking the buttons underneath my overlay window?
I'm using 2004 mx (Don't laugh. It's not nice to mock the afflicted!).
Any help would be much appreciated.
There are probably a few ways to get around this, but they all lead to a similar scenario... the buttons are disabled. So one approach is to set the enabled property of the buttons to false when the buttons are out of site and set it back to true wen they are back in the picture
I get it.
Assign each button I want to mask an instance name, then call: instanceName.enabled = false;
