Are you getting a stream not found error? For a live stream I
dont believe you need the prefix or extension.
Without the mp4 prefix I get a "stream not found error" Because it is a vp6 stream I also tried the flv prefix but that also gives a stream not found.
So it seems that the mp4 prefix is needed to establish a netconnection.
I just found this post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2782150#2782150
Adding a streamingURLResource like below doesn't give any mediaErrors.
var resource:StreamingURLResource = new StreamingURLResource(config.rtmpUrl); resource.urlIncludesFMSApplicationInstance = true; parallelElement.addChild(new VideoElement(resource));
I have to test it when I'm back at the office but it seems promising.
Keep you posted!
Are you using Stream Type set to Live? This is required to play live streams. Here is an example:
new VideoElement(new StreamingURLResource(new String(LIVE_URL), StreamType.LIVE));
The urlIncludesFMSApplicationInstance parameter did the trick.
