You haven't specified your operating system, but if you're
using windows, try doing a system restore (rollback) to a
date before the crash happened..
Did you install anything else AFTER your cs5 installation?
Might be a conflict of some kind...

It looks like an issue with permissions. I have to change the permissions to a bunch of folders that hold preferences... unbelievable...
I had this same issue, the fix for it was pretty simple, it was a permissions problem
find this folder
Users/"your user name"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5
right click on it and "get info", change the permissions so that your user name is the owner
then open flash CS5
this worked perfectly for me
(I had also previously changed the permission for flash cs5 in the applications folder to myself, not sure if that played a part)
