databinding couldn't recognize any changes is usually you a missing [Bindable] statement somewhere in your code
@SC: Ok, what does it do? What happens when I make it bindable?

When it's bindable any changes to whatever you are binding gets reflected right away.

so basically AC's let you do filter and sort
Ah! That's perfect! Are there any examples or documentation about this sorting options?
So could I read out an AC and filter it at the same time? Such as I query a SQL into an AC (via FB-Wizzard/PHP) and I can filter the output of the AC such as by 'lastname'?
That's correct you can filter the output of the AC so it only shows by lastName or whatever database field you want.
