arthurtnt Jun 24, 2010 10:38 AM (in response to TONYWORKS-NL)The problem is that adobe after effects cs5,
is running at 64 bit and using a 32bit quicktime, this cause
a conflit. An easy way to solve this problem is simply installing itunes 64 bit

acoutrim1971 Jun 25, 2010 1:28 PM (in response to arthurtnt)Hey Arthur,
On my PC Xeon 5520 16GbRAM Windows 7 it doesn´t working. I tried to install iTunes and it´s a little better 'cause now I can render quicktime TIFF encoder, but I get the same error when rendering quicktime h264 encoder.
Anyway... I'm partly happy thanks to you!
Let´s pray to a new 64 bit QT version.

9. Re: CS5 quicktime "MooV" error - can't render or preview...
bumplums May 31, 2011 7:41 AM (in response to TONYWORKS-NL)Hi,
I'm getting similar error. As of today After Effects cs5 will not render any type of quicktime. I get the message "output module failed, may be corrupted"
Strange thing is the projects all rendered fine yesterday and I haven't installed any new software. Also I dont have any plugins installed.
I have since updated from after effects 10.0.0 to 10.0.2 and tried uninstalling quicktime 7 and re-installing. No joy.
I'm using intel macbook pro running win7 64bit.
Is there a known compatibility issue between after effects cs5 and quicktime?
cheers

bumplums May 31, 2011 9:35 AM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)hey Todd,
thanks a million for your wisdom, you've saved me.
I deleted preferences file and its ok now, i can render QuickTimes again.
Pressing Control+Alt+Delete whilst starting After Effects didn't do anything so I located it and deleted the preferences file manually.
