When I create a PDF file with PDF Creator 0.9.8 from a Word document in Windows 7 and open it in Adobe Reader 9.2, the fonts look different when I compare it with the original Word File.
In the Word file I use the Times New Roman font. When I open the created PDF file in Windows 7 the fonts are changed.
But when I open the same PDF file in Windows XP the fonts are correct, see the screenshots:
PDF in Win7x64
PDF in WinXPx86
Any idea your the fix this?
The problem is with the pdf creator. You are not using Acrobat and the printer cannot embed the fonts into the pdf. Reader will use the fonts installed on the computer. Different OS probably will give you different versions of the font even if they have the same name.
I tried to make a PDF with the option Embed all fonts on or off, no difference.
When I install Foxit Reader on the Windws 7 computer the PDF file is shown correctly.
Maybe you need to check out that Times New Roman font is embodied on your Windows 7 system. I think it would be about that.
