Thanks for ur reply. I have tried the method that you have method. It's not working for me. In my Project i'm creating some HTML tags using flex and assigning them to the String variable and passing the String variable to an Excel file (Exporting the DataGrid data to an Excel file). Everything is working fine for me. In some Exceptional cases like, whenever the data in the datagrid exceeds 4000 data, the string variable doesn't store them.
In this case, i need a datatype which can hold more number of data. In the method that you have mentioned, its not working even for the small amount of data.
Kindly let me know if any other methods are there for this problem...
I don't know of any limit on String.
I don't know of any limitation on a String variable, except available memory. I suspect you are hitting a limitation either on the mechanism used to transfer the string to Excel, or in the Excel import process itself.
