    WTF Windows Vista Security Shield????

    GhengisJones Level 1
I just noticed a little Windows Security shield attached to the Dreamweaver 8.02 program icon.

I don't remember that being there before.

It has also appeared on the Macromedia Extension Manager and Flash 8 Video Encoder program icons.

      Using Windows Vista Ultimate.

      What is this thing?

Beats me. I don't see it in my Vista installation....

I haven't been able to find any reason for it. Usually, the shield is supposed to mean (according to Windows Help) that it is a program that requires the user's permission to run, such as one that affects system settings.

I turned UAC off and it went away on the DW program icon but remained on the other two.

I turned UAC back on and it has not reappeared on DW but still remains on the other two.

It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the programs.

It also appears to only be on my Macromedia v8 progs; none of my Adobe CS2 or Premiere Pro/After Effects/Audition etc. are affected.
