I was running some issues with Encore CS4 earlier (encoding problems), and came upon another problem...
Importing sequences from Premiere Pro..
It seems other people on the boards were having the same issues of Chapter markers not being recognized by Encore via PPro.
The majority of responses were to add a name or comment to the individual markers. So i did the same...I didn't help.
I'm sure the intent was for Adobe to have seemless workflows. Whether sending to Encore from a Premiere timeline, or Importing a Premiere sequence into Encore. Any updates or changes should be automatic.
Unfortunately it wasn't the case.
Here was my cheap and easy fix.
Go to the sequence, Ctrl+A to select all the clips. Create new sequence (same settings). Paste. Create the chapter markers..(I didn't bother naming them.)
Open Encore, and link the newly copied and renamed sequence, and voila!!!
All the chapter markers with their intended glory..
Assumption.
I can only assume that there's some sort of MetaData that doesn't get updated, or perhaps is corrupted within the PPRJ file. Does anybody have any info on how to fix this?
Otherwise, this is a cheap man's fix...
Thanx....
