what kind of tween? if you wanted to use a cross-fade, that should be no problem. if you wanted to use a dynamic shape-tween, that would require advanced actionscripting.
just a simple motion tween from left
to right but i think this is the list problem no? the real one is
to make the # signs changes to the numbers in differnt frames
you want a motion and shape tween? ie, # moves to the left and changes shape to a numeral?
hi kgladthe # is text so no shape tween in involved. it come from the left to the right in a motion tween (default preset of come on from left).after being there for a few frames it comes out the way it came in and a number comes in.
that should happen in all 100 boxes begining from "user a" the first box and than afterstarting filling the line of "user a" and the vertical first line growing to the whole table. i hope i succesided to explain my self. if its to complicated let me know.
thank you so much.
by the way i can send you the swf if you think it will help
inside each of those table cells you want those motion tweens?
yap.in each one i need a # turn into a number in 5-7 seconds
yap in each one i need a # turn into a number in 5-7 seconds
then create a movieclip with your # symbol tweening and a dynamic textfield tweening. assign your textfield and instance name and embed a font in your dynamic textfield and mask those tweens so a region the same size as one of your table cells is revealed.
then add that movieclip to each cell and give each an instance name so you can assign a number to each movieclip's textfield.
but each number should replace the # symbol in a differnt time. how can i do that if its the symbol?
do you think i can get a script somewhere to all ? im afaraid its a little bit complacated for me to do...
put a stop() on the first frame of each movieclip. apply a play() and assign the textfield's number when you want to start the tween.
i really have no clue how to it....im pretty new to flash and have never
deal with something complicated as that yet. do you think there is a simple
i can't think of any simpler way to do it.
ok i got to the point i made a movie that contain the # tween and the dynimc
now i put each movie clip on a cell and gave them 100 differnt named. how do
i change the number in each cell now?
if one of your movieclip's has instance name cell11_mc and your textfield has instance name tf, use:
cell11_mc.tf.text = whatevernumber.toString();
i guess its never gonna end
to be specific:
i made a tween of the # turning arround and fading. a blank box of dynamic
text is turning arround and take the # place. i name the textfield 'numbers'
and place this movieclip in the movieclip of the cells. 100 times each one
in a cell and name them from a1 to j10. like you said i made an actionscrip
of a1.numbers.text = 18.69.tostring(); etc. for some reasson when i play
the movie it does not show the number when the # is vanish and it doesnt
stop as well althought i put a stop inside the # movieclip.
hope you got me and have a clue what i didnt do good.
first, your textfield should be present on all frames of your movieclip to make things easier. (it doesn't need to be visible on all frames, of course.)
after fixing those things, copy and paste any error message.
it is working. i guess its one of this things that should be very simple.
what should i do for the number not to desepire? the action is for a certain
frame and need the numbers will stay on for another 200 frames.
the numbers should remain until you do something to have them removed. what's causing them to be removed now?
they are staying as they are for about 250 frames and than they fade away
along with the tableand become transperent at the background. so basicly
they staying till the last frame but with a change in thier transperant
you must be doing that intentionally. what is it that you want?
i want the number totay on for the rest of the movie. in a certain frame i
want them to turn from 100% alpha to 25% alpha.
then why do you have them fade away? that's something you've explicitly done. if you don't want that, don't tween the alpha to zero.
no the problem now is that right after the numbers come up they vanished so
i was trying to put a stop at the last time of the mc but it didnt work. so
i thought its probobly something we need to add to the script we put with
the instaces names. not sure.any idea?
ill try to be more precise... the mc keep on goingwhen i took the stop
action away from it and it can loop and come back to the 3 but it doesnt
show the textdynamic box after the first tween...it tweens it and gone and
even if it loops it shows the # and not the text tween again...
hey man thanks
i manage to do that!!!
thanks so much!
by the way do you know where i can get as3.0 for 10 minutes countdown in
fast fast speed (12 sec)?
post your as3 question in the as3 forum and explain what you want.
