    too many authorisations

    annabelgrey

Hi, I have a problem with authorising and de authorising digital editions. I authorised digital editions on 3 computers, I then wanted to authorise it on a fourth and was given the message

      E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 182:9182:10000 urn:uuid:10d704ce-0079-450c-8b51-90ebe6f8beec

I chatted with support on Adobe and was told to de-authorise one of the computers before authorising the fourth. I did this, and was still unable to authorise the fourth, and when I tried to re-authorise the computer I had de-authorised, I was give the same message. Now I have a great deal of content I am unable to access as I do not have the authorisation! I can authorise my computer with a different Adobe ID, but this means I will not be able to access the content I already have.

Adobe Digital Editions (like other free Adobe products) is not supported  through email, chat or phone.  When you call or talk to online chat they are supposed to direct you to  submit a web case.

You can open up a web tech support case  by going to http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions and clicking on 'Submit a web case'

Make sure to include  the details in your case including the AdobeID you are using as well as  the complete error message as you did here, and it will help speed  things up.
