    Disable RED cursor crosshairs

    griffonwing

      This is crazy.

Also, why is this forum putting the next line ABOVE the previous when i hit ENTER?

      Can anyone assist me?

I just put my computer back online to update the programs, and when Adobe CS4 completed, I loaded up a file in Illustrator, only to see the red crosshair. By this, I am referring to the red lines (vertical and horizontal) that emanate from the cursor, helping you to align with other objects more easily.   I have been unable to locate where you disable this.  I have searched under the VIEW menu, as well as PREFERENCES.  It might have been overlooked.
