Suppose I create a PDF which contains details of an Extension added to its catalog.
So when Adobe Reader Loads this file, and finds that there is no Plugin for handling this Extension.
Will Reader Still go ahead and Display the File in some Junky format or Throw a Message to the User.
I read that the Reader will redirect the user to a Web page and ask the User to download the Plugin.
I want to assure that the above mentioned scenario doesn't happen.
I do not know. It is also possible that different versions of Reader will behave differently.
The easiest way to find out is if you test it yourself.
Actually I have not yet started development of the Adobe Reader Plugin.
I wanted to be sure about the behavior in this case.
For plugin development use the forum for Acrobat SDK.
