I just installed an Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 video card, and went into the Nvidia control panel and saw that AE CS5 is not listed, but AE CS4 is listed, even though "Show only programs found on this computer" is checked and I don't have AE CS4 on my computer. And when I try to add AE CS5, it doesn't work. I can navigate to the .exe, and choose it, but it does not then appear on the list. Anyone else having this problem?
And what would be the relevance of such an undertaking? Unless you realyl do need application specific profiles, why bother? I've never had any issues with any of that, not even with my 3D programs and I'm realyl just using the default 3D profile. It's realyl irrelevant - for what little OpenGL AE uses, anyway.
Oh. OK! I don't know that much about how it all works, but I had seen a post on a forum (somewhere) recently bringing up this issue and thought it might be important. Even though I have worked with AE for years, there is still so much I don't understand.
