I just tried this out with 10.6 and Reader 9.3.0 but couldn't reproduce your problem. What does HTMLLoader.pdfCapability return on the machines where PDF's aren't loading? Does this occur for local and remote PDF files? Is it possible to post some sample code that I can try out?
Hi, Chris. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
Quick background: I'm actually a p.c. person and I developed our whole program in RoboHelp. It was originally created to run in web browsers and always worked fine on Macs and p.c.s. We have a third party who is interested in selling our product and wants it to be a standalone app, so I've created an Adobe AIR version.
Our one problem is with local pdf files (we're not trying to access any remote pdfs) that have been placed on the MAC after the Adobe AIR installer has been run to install our program. (The pdfs work fine on p.c.s.)
I must admit I'm not familiar with HTMLoader.pdfCapability. (To boot, I'm also not a Mac guy unfortunately.)
We have an icon you click to launch the pdf. Here is the code that calls the pdf.
Please let me know if this helps to troubleshoot the problem or if you need more information. Thanks, Chris!!
Somehow the forum literally altered my code within my message to you. Here is the code I actually sent. Let's see if it changes it again when it adds it to the forum:
Hi, Chris. The forum keeps changing the code I send you. What you are seeing in the link in my responses is NOT what I'm sending you. Do you possibly have an e-mail address where I can send you the code? Or do you know how I can override the forum's changing of my code so that I can share the code with you? Are there some kind of characters I can put around the code the would prevent the forum from changing the code before you can see it?
