Specify editable property of datagrid as true but specify all the colums of datagrid editable property false
On ItemClick event check the rowindex.
If rowindex == 5(where u want ur datagrid to be edited) use editable property of datagrid for all colums to true else false
Hope you got it!!!
I got that but my confusion is whether once you turn the column's editable property as true does it apply to all the rows of that column or just that single cell?
So what I am trying to do is e.g. I have four columns but 3 rows I just want the second row to be editable..but if I turn the column's editable property as true won't the whole column be turned as true? Or is my interpretation incorrect?
I think I got what you are saying the editable property will only turn on for that rowIndex only. For the rest it will not....makes sense. I just have to figure out how turn on all the columns editable property as true.
Thanks a lot.
I have another question now, I have successfully turned on the editable feature of the entire row based on the rowIndex but my question is do I turn on the editable= true at the datagrid column level or just say datagrid.editable = true;
Because as of now I am just saying datagrid.editable = true; Is this the same as saying turn on the editable= true for all the columns or is there a better way to do this?

Editable true at datagrid level is to make it editable to all the columns but say if there is requriement where only particular column is to be editable then editable property of column is needed.
More if you just specify editable property to column and do not specify editable property at data grid level then it will not make your columns editable.
Hope you got my point!!!
Yes thanks I got that and already got through that.
