I am looking into migrating our existing Flex 3 app to Flex 4. In working through the compilation issues, I see many api changes and apis which have been removed.
One of these happen to be IFocusManager.moveFocus() api which we use in a bunch of places in our application.
I was wondering if anyone else has bumped into this and if there is a known workaround to this api. What is the Flex4 way to achieve similar behaviour ?
Upon some digging into the code, I found that moveFocus() has moved as a new public method on FocusManagerMarshalMixin class. Not sure how I can access this api now.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
In most cases you can use
Thanks, so how would I take care of the direction argument ? esp. if their value is either top or bottom ?
MoveFocus is for switching focus between sandboxed sub-apps. If you are
using such a configuration, you should turn on the Marshall Plan code.
Otherwise, there shouldn't be top/bottom arguments and the direction
parameter to getNextFocusManagerComponent should be sufficient.
