I haven't touched my version of CS4 in a while but have never had problems with RAM previews before. If I hit space bar in the time line it will create a rendereding that will play in real time. But when I use the 'Preview' window to create a RAM preview, it plays back at 6 fps and doesn't even say 'not real time'. My comp settings are set up for 23.98 fps, so I don't know what gives. I put the RAM preview options on the lowest settings and it doesn't seem to matter. Anyone know what's up? Do I have a box ticked somewhere that I shouldn't?

Disk Cache? Media Cache? OpenGL? Third-party video or sound hardware? Audio used? What footage types? Please provide more info.
I got it working, thanks for the questions.
