Should be few problems going X-platform for PrPro. Note: there are Effects and Transitions in the PC version, that do not exist in the Mac version, but usually PrPro is good with missing Effects and Transitions (even 3rd party ones), with informative dialog screens helping you to locate the missing items. At least that was how it was in earlier versions, and I hope that CS5 has not cut that out.
As for AE, I cannot help with X-platform migration.

We make a good tag team, then.
There are a few things to check and be aware of, but in general cross-platform After Effects projects work fine. Here's the page that I wrote to deal with this:
I hope that you would see and comment on this question. I have migrated Mac Projects (several versions back) into more recent PC Projects, but all of my AE work has been original, and I just did not know the answer.
Thanks for taking up the "tag." Maybe we will get the WWF belt... ?
BTW - I assume that PrPro CS5 behaves like previous versions, when little things, like Effects and Transitions are missing. I still am impressed by how well that worked in all of my instances - easy to correct in the migrated Project, complete with TimeCode.
