A friend of mine converted my Word Doc resume to a PDF file using Adobe Reader 9.
Actually no. He "may" have used Adobe Acrobat or any one of a few thrid party PDF creators but not Reader.
He sent it back to me, but it appears to be in read-only mode. I can't figure out how to convert it back to an editable version
It's already as editable as it can be but you can't edit with Adobe Reader.
I need to make some edits, and I can't!
Sure you can. Edit the Wrod document and send it back. Then they can create you a new PDF.

Any suggestions on what to do?
You can edit your Word document.
Yup, you guys are right. I guess the answer is, do it in word, and then convert back to Adobe. Thanks for your help.
Another thing I need to note that Adobe Reader cannot help you save Word as PDF. You need to use Acrobat or other PDF Creator.
