    Windows Installer Cleanup Utility

The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility has been retired by Microsoft; see info at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/

The most likely reason I can think of is the conflicts with Office 2007.

We have recommended this tool thousands of times here over the years, and it has helped countless people to remove corrupted Reader installs.  It is a shame that it is no longer available on the Microsoft download site, although it can still be found on hundreds of download sites all over the web.

Since Adobe does not offer its own removal tool for corrupted Reader installations, we will probably continue to recommend the Microsoft tool, although users may need to find an alternative download site.
