I just got the new p255 patch installed through the Updater & wondered if it anybody's noticed much of anything different.
I didn't see it listed on the Download page, but using the same logic that Arnis posted for the 9.0.3 patch, I figured that
http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/framemaker/win/9.x/ReadmeForPatch904.pdf
would work (it does!)
Well, I can't imagine that the content of this PDF is really worth a patch, if this is all. Sounds a little bit incomplete, and since it's not officially linked, it might be a premature document. I haven't updated yet (due to the lack of information, yes), I'm working on too many documents in almost final state. Not the best moment for experiments, without an official list of fixes and changes.
Edit: Now it's officially published: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4746
The list of fixes remains unchanged. I can't believe it. 9 months of time since the last update, tons of confirmed bugs, and now there is a list of 4(!) fixes I don't even understand.

2. Re: FM9 p255 (9.0.4 patch) - reactions?
Jeff_Coatsworth Aug 12, 2010 10:24 AM (in response to Be.eM)Just an update on a couple of issues that I & others have noticed were busted:
1. Art Campbell reports on the Frame list that the issue of the Paragraph Designer getting stuck when you've got it open and adjust Tab on the Ruler instead of through the Designer is still busted under p255
2. An issue I discovered that will throw a hard error & toss you out of FM completely is still not fixed either. The scenario is using double depth index marker text (like "Birds:North America:Loons") in a doc that is within a book, that is itself within a master book. This books within books feature was new for FM9 I believe & generally works great.
If anyone's got other issues that were busted in earlier builds, I invite you to test them again & see if the p255 patch did anything for them. Sometimes the "official" readme's miss stuff.
