Get to know DW CS3.
The basic concepts have not changed and the enhancements and extra features in CS5 are unlikely to be of use to you as a novice.
Thanks for your quick response. everything is helpful at this point. It's time to put on my thinking cap and get to work.
I just upgraded from CS3 to CS5. Here are my reasons
- Full support on OS X Snow Leopard
- Code hints for CSS3
- Discover dynamic related files. It allows me to quickly view/edit multiple files without having to open all of them at once. It also recognizes your functions and display all the parameters of the functions (PHP)
- I can get the student/teach edition for $150
I rarely use DW's code. I just like it as an editor with everything I need in one place. If you don't program much and not have a compatibility issue with your OS, then play with CS3 first.
