Make actions - no background on photos

    jord_ Community Member

I want to take several pictures and want to remove the background.

The pictures is parts on a clean background. For me its no problem to use the Pen Tool
      and make a Paths.

I have lots of parts to take picutre of, so I want to make a auto path maker,

      or an action function.

I want to make action who cut out the object from the picture and got a transparent background.

Is this something along the lines of green screen work?

Have you tried the Quick Selection Tool?  It doesn't make a path (directly) but it can be used to quickly select a more or less uniform background after which you can delete it.

I suggest you forget all about paths and classical selections and read up on green screen/ blue screen techniques as they are used for film effects. If done right, this then would allow you to use color range selections or specific keying plug-ins like Primatte to streamline this. Everything else is not going anywhere, if you want to avoid manual work. Automated tracing (Auto Trace in Illustrator for instance) is much to imprecise as will be selections, if there is not enough distinctions between foreground and background....
