    gradients

I am using a bitmap as image , I have taken a image then deleted it -filled space with color then added gradient in place of previous image , When I preview image it looks terrible ,gradient lines showing. Is there a way to make gradients look smooth?

      Thanks Gary

Set the export type to JPEG in the optimize panel before previewing it.

..Jpeg did not work, Tried to set as jpeg,optimize..etc tried as tiff,png,bitmap.... I have been working with fireworks for years but have never been able to get gradients to work online . Is there some special tool . Tool # -9674809 that has to be purchased for several million $ Some one out there has to know how to make gradients work as I see them all the time on sites. ????? If I can change the image to a background for css then maybe apply a gradient to it??????
