What is your Windows version?
What happens when you try Add/Remove Programs?
I also just downloaded Adobe Reader 9.3.3-CPSID_83708 unknowingly. I went to my add and delete programs, and I noticed that this updated said it could not be deleted. This statement made me very nervous. So, I began checking and I have found some information to say this might not be a valid update from ADOBE. Can anyone tell me if it is a valid update, and if not--CAN I do anything to fix?
Do you have admin rights on your system? Can you uninstall other programs?
If yes and you still think you have downloaded wrong update, use windows cleanup utility to remove this installation. You can find cleanup utility at several websites eg.
Then reinstall 9.3 Reader from adobe website and update it to 9.3.3 using Help>Check for updates.
I have windows XP
On 7/3/2010 Adobe Reader 9.3.3-CPS ID 83708 was added to my computer and I
started to have problems with my Adobe Flash Player. I started to receive error
messages "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly.
If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you wish to
abort the script? I click yes and the error message goes away till the next
time I log on my computer.
Adobe Reader and Flash Player are completely unrelated.
If you want to uninstall Adobe Reader, you must uninstall the main 9.3 program.
If you have problems with Flash Player, please post in the Flash Player forum.
