Edit font sizes and colours without CSS [was: Such a n00b]

I can't believe I'm have to ask this, but I want to edit font sizes, font styles and colours in CS5 (recently upgraded) Design view but using HTML tags, not CSS.  If I use the Properties panel in HTML mode only Bold and Italic options are shown, where have all the other options gone?

I found alignment in the Format menu, but whenever I use that menu for trying to edit font style I seem to get forced into CSS, and I can't for the life of me find how to change the font size without editing the HTML in code view, which I don't want.

Such a n00b, can anyone help please?
