First, use pen and paper to rough out your table column and row requirements. In DW, insert table. Tell DW how many rows & columns you will need. Give your table a width in pixels (fixed) or percentages (re-sizable). Click in table cells to type content. Hit tab key to move to adjacent cells. Style your tables with CSS to make them more visually interesting.

My issue was how to make a horizontal genetic chart that would have each generation center on the previous.

Thank you. It finally dawned on me that I could just horizontally split each table cell as the data splits.
Often it seems that I can struggle with an element of a project. When I finally come to this forum out of frustration I find that by explaining my problem thoroughly so it can be understood here it causes the wheels to start turning and I end up solving my own problem.
