1. Re: Embed Adobe Reader with OLE into Java client
lrosenth Jul 6, 2010 5:04 AM (in response to Paul_Kuhn)I would ask on a Java/Eclipse forum as this seems like a general problem not specific to the AcroPDF.dll

2. Re: Embed Adobe Reader with OLE into Java client
Paul_Kuhn Jul 6, 2010 7:07 AM (in response to lrosenth)Thanks for the response.
The code in general works, for example when I change the prodID to "Shell.Explorer" or "Word.Document", no error is thrown and I can successfully acccess the OLE object.
It only does not work for the AcroPDF object...
Anything what I am missing here?
Thanks
Paul

3. Re: Embed Adobe Reader with OLE into Java client
lrosenth Jul 6, 2010 7:41 AM (in response to Paul_Kuhn)Do you have Adobe Reader installed correctly? It works just fine for normal use? Inside a browser for PDF viewing?

4. Re: Embed Adobe Reader with OLE into Java client
Paul_Kuhn Jul 6, 2010 8:54 AM (in response to lrosenth)Yes, the Adobe Reader 9.3.3 is installed and runs fine as Standalone and within the Browser.
Also the registry keys are all available.
I have also tested the Java code in another VMware Image with Adobe Reader 8.2.3 but with the same result.
I can access for example Mircrosoft OLE objects, but not the Adobe Reader one "AcroPDF.PDF.1".
