I've read that PDF/A-1b allows documents to be stored for long-term storage/archival. How is PDF/A-1b different than a standard PDF file? What is it that allows PDF/A-1b to preserve the data in a PDF any better than your typicla PDF. My company sells Adobe PDF technlogies and these are questions that my students ask me on a daily basis, and I don't have good answers for them. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!
