    Avoiding Vertical scrollbar of a flashplayer inside a browser

    mxvx Level 1

      Hi,

      I am using a flex application which opens up with a default height

      I am adding some components at run time which increases the height of the application.

      Since the swf is embedded @ within a html file and centered. I am getting a vertical scroll bar for the flash player

      The flash player looks ugly and i am tyring to remove it ??

      Any solutions

      Regards

          Generally when I need to get rid of a scrollbar I will do something like this.

          Create  a skin based off of the component you are trying to remove the scroll-bar from.  For example , my lists tend to want to have a horizontal scrollbar.  So I would create a custom list skin.

          Then , in the auto-generated skin code , you should see a <s:Scroller /> component.  On this scroller component you set the scroll-policy to what you want it to be.  So I would have something like this

          <Scroller horizontalScrollPolicy="off" ... >

            <Some kind of content group ...
