We took the plunge with HPZ800, dual Zeon, 8G ram, NVIDA QFX4800, W7, 64bit, fire breather, and CS5 production. We still have a lot of SD footage on DVCAM tape and need to capture into PP CS5, I have a Sony DSR250 camera and a JVC BR-HD50 but have been unable to get them operational with my system. The PC sees them fine and loads drivers but premiere CS5 shows offline status, I do have Canon XLH1 which is recognized by premiere, Worked fine with old system CS3 WXP 32bit. Will older devices be supported? Another issue is purchased Matrox MX02/Max with the system and no driver support from matrox on this as of yet? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Use Scenlyzer for the DVCAM material, or start troubleshooting.
Exit PR, connect the DSR-250. Turn it on. Does Windows prompt you to edit with PR?
If not, check in Device Manager that the IEEE1394 driver is the one with Legacy in the description.
If not, update driver, browse and Let me pick... to change the driver to the one with Legacy in it.
Turn off hardware MPE. If nothing helps, use Scenalyzer.
