reading an the data from an xml file locally

    FlexDev4Fun
I'm running my flex app local on the machine. I don't want to send a request to the service and then have the service respond. Therefore, I want to add an aspx file to bin directory for flex (so that aspx script file is included in the swf) and then call the aspx. That way, i can use the FileReference class to upload the file locally to the script, write the code in .NET to send back flex proper xml data.

This is all really annoying. All I want to do is read in xml file data on the local machine without sending queries to the server. Seems like a lot of work for such a simpler request.

Help?!?! Code example would be nice or just tell me how to import the flash.filesystem package.

      Please HELP!!!!
