    Text in a table

    Jack_606
      Hi guys,

      I'ma bit confused.

I have a table already, and when I type in text, it just appears in the cell normally.

But I have just started a new table, and when I type text, the text comes up inside a box made of dashed black lines, and when I am finished, the table cell shrinks to fit the text, instead of just staying how it is in my original table.

Is there any way I can make my second table just accept text normally without this box appearing and changing the size of the cells when I type?

      Regards,

      Jack.

This means that you have selected the text and clicked on one of the
alignment icons on the Property inspector to cause a <div
align="somevalue">...</div> to wrap your content. This is the wrong way to
align content in a table cell. You should select the <td> on the tag
selector and use the Horiz drop list to select the cell's horizontal
          alignment.

            Hi,

sorry I'm not to good at this. Could you exaplain how I do that. Do I right click in each cell and select something from the drop down menu?

Click in a cell, and look at the Property inspector in DW. Find the field
called "Horiz". Select the alignment you desire (bearing in mind that the
default values are Horiz=left and Vert=middle).
