File>New From Template will go to the default Location there you can open the blank CD template and you can also go to the Japanese which has a cd template as well with contet.
It needs adjustig and you need to change the text to english but that should nt be a problem.
Also under the Tech folder in the templates is a CD/DVD template package.
that's good... but i don't think they are for jewel boxes (?)... rather for slipcases...
not sure if there are other forums worth trying as well... i've got cs4 master collection... i presume illustrator is the package to use...
If you go to 'New' on Illustrators menu, then "Templates...", then "Basic" folder, then "Blank Templates" folder and you can find templates for CD covers, cases etc in there.
but I am unsure of how the booklet comes out - is it just a two pager then?
presumably i can just run duplicate blanks for any more pages i'll want...
Well I am a little reluctant to respond as you just posted three posts stating the very same thing that my post contains?
I think I better let you figure out what you want to do.
You can delete the art you do not need and then duplicate the artboards you do need using the artboard panel it will copy the guides and content as well.
You can rearrange them as well name them and reorder them. You have to do each duplication one at a time. But three easy duplication and you have a 16 pager.
A printer would have to use an imposing software to arrange it for output. If you made each page an arboard and placed your guides and then duplicated those artboards and then arrange them so they where paired like spreads you could export the file then to a multipage pdf and the printer could pass that easily to an imposing software.
imposing is the way the printer arranges the pages so they print on two sides of a larger paper. Then once printed they fold the paper trim it and then stitch it into a brochure so page 1 and 2 and 3 are as they should be.
