Creating a project on remote server but have multiple users

Two other developers and myself are giving CF builder a shot.  We have always hand coded using notepad so we are new to eclipse and CF Builder.

When each of a copy of CF builder on our local machines.  We tried to connect CF builder to the development server using the create project function.  We are finding that CF builder puts .project files onto the development server itself, which only allows 1 person to create a project.

Is it possible to view/edit the code on the remote server and create a project, but not put a .project file on the server?

Should we be doing something different, as in not even using a project to access the code?

Thanks!

Don't create your project in the middle of your source code: just accept the default location.

Then link the source code dirs into the project.
