Can you check if any files got copied into the following Flash user-configuration folder?
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS5\<language>\Configuration\
What type of user-accounts do your designers have on the machines?
Do previous Flash versions launch fine?
The folder structure stops Flash CS5, no Configuration folder.
**Edit** After the Flash CS5 folder is en_US\Configuration.....inside that folder are quite a bit of folders.
They have domain accounts with full admin rights to their particular machine.
Yes, previously installed CS3 opens and run just fine.
I have this issue as well on my computer.
Previously Flash CS5 worked fine, but today when I started my Flash CS5 it freezes on "Initialing Tools".
Tried to deleting configuration folder on local settings and reinstalling Flash, but still no luck.
Hope someone could answer
P.S. I have Windows XP SP3 machine.
1 person found this helpful1) Open folder AppData... and open file fontinfo.txt
2) Delete all text and informations in this file.
3) Save file
4) Set attributes on READ-ONLY !!!
5) Run flash
Worked for us, on all machines.
I had this issue too, i deleted the config files as pointed to above, its working so far. but quite annoying i have to re-layout the screen
Hi, I've had this issue in the past, then after I removed all the no default Windows fonts the Flash starts ok. Since then I've added only one font, and again, everything was working great.
The Flash doesn't start at all, stop on "Initializing tools". I've removed the "Configuration" folder, didn't help. What is the reason that the Flash IDE simply stops to work?
