Can't "Pick" via Keyboard Lightroom 3 When Set to Japanese

I'll be teaching a class on Lightroom later this year in Japanese, so I figured now would be a good time to start familiarizing myself with the Japanese interface and terminology.

I flipped the interface language to Japanese and restarted the app.  Everything seemed fine until I started using my old familiar keyboard shortcuts.

I've browsed around the forums a bit, and I gather some shortcuts change to match the interface language.  Fine.  I start looking closely at the menu options to learn what shortcuts match functions I commonly use, but the key and the expected behavior don't match.

      Example:

P in the English version "picks" an image.  Now it takes me to the develop module. (Not mentioned in the interface.)

Confusingly, D also still takes me to the develop module.

The Japanese menu says I should be able to hit F to flag ("pick") an image, but the F key still toggles full screen modes - no flag changes occur.

The top three options in the flyout menu are (in order):

      Flag/Pick (F)

      Unflag (U)

      Reject (R)

As mentioned, the F key toggles full-screen states, it doesn't flag/pick an image.

      Unflag(U) functions as indicated.

Reject(R) also doesn't work.  (R) goes to the crop tool just like in the English version.  I can still use (X) to set the reject flag as would be expected in the English version of LR.
