Usually your login page is in your root directory. Your protected files
that require a login are in a protected directory that checks the user
name and password before allowing entry. After someone logs in,
that login page has an instruction to forward sucessful logins to a
page in the protected directory which would then have a menu of
items they can access. You have a session variable (done with
whatever programming language you are using) that holds
that login information
Use the results of the login rs to get the users id number then create a session variable in the Bindings panel by clicking the '+' button then >Session Variable, a dialog box will ask for the name you could use MM_UserID. Then insert that session variable into your code like a record set variable by putting your cursor in the proper part of the code and clicking 'Bind' usually in the part of the code that proccess the form, after the On_Submit statement. Then when you have Session("MM_UserID") in your page make it = the recordset value of the users id like this: Session("MM_UserID") = rs.YourRecordSet.Value("Users_ID_Column")
all this could be after the users input is verified and then you could filter the redirect page RS with the session variable to give personal details.
Pass the ID as a URL variable. When you link to the page you want to
redirect to when login is successful, click on the parameters icon to the
right of the link field, and you can select the ID as a URL variable.

Thanks for qucik replies ! But im still not getting it, sorry.
Katsuey , my pages are all inte the same folder. No special protected fiolders.
MikeL7 sorry but idont get I with Rs, will the varaiablebe passed with the form ? how should I set up the other RS on my page that will display the ID ? Should it filter for ID thru Form, URL ?
Murray *ACE* this sees the easiest way, but I get http 500 error when IM doing this.
I insert the Log in user in DW , then I choose the redcirect page for sucessful login, I cklick on parameter and I get 2 choices value and name, its open and I point to the ID in my RS.
I close the box, and the server behavoir tells me that its no longer log in user but dynamics text request server variables.
This is my url Admin_Val.asp?<%=(RsKlient.Fields.Item("ID Klient nr").Value)%>= that its from choosing page + adding the parameter ID and i gives me error 500..
What Im doing wrong here ?
