    Fixing table widths for text

    Jack_606 Level 1
      Hi guys,

I have a html table, and for example, I have a row with 3 columns in it.

I have set the rows to the width I want them to be and need them to stay. However, when i input text, instead of starting a new line when the text reaches the edge of the cell, the text pushes the edge of the cell outwards and messes up my widths.

Is there some way to fix the widths of my cells, so that when the text reaches the edge, it starts a new line and pushed the bottom of the cell and the rest of the table down. Basically, how can I get each cell to behave in the way a word document does.

Please be as clear and simple in your answers as possible as I am no where near as gifted with this stuff as most of you evidently are!

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

      Kind regards,

      Jack.

By default the text should wrap, but it needs whitespace to wrap. If you are just typing in a continuous stream of characters with no whitespace, then there is no place for it to wrap.

Answered in your previous post? Or are you reposting it for a reason?
