Curt Y Jul 21, 2010 2:01 PM (in response to Oiseauxxx)If you click the maximize window button (extreme upper right corner) does that snap things back in place?

2. Re: Some photos outside viewing area Bridge CS5
Oiseauxxx Jul 21, 2010 5:25 PM (in response to Curt Y)I tried clicking the maximize button, changing the view options, restarting the program and the entire computer, and changing the size of the thumbnails with the slider at the lower right. None of those things makes a difference.

Curt Y Jul 21, 2010 6:08 PM (in response to Oiseauxxx)If you click on the restore down does that produce a smaller window? Are all the items contained within the Bridge program now?
If not, it may have something to do with the video driver. Make sure they are up to date for your OS.

Oiseauxxx Jul 22, 2010 10:56 AM (in response to Curt Y)My driver is up to date. Restoring the window down does nothing to fix the problem. I guess I will try to learn a different photo editing program, if I can find one with no bugs...
Thanks,
Lynn

Are you saying even with the Bridge windowtaking up half the screen you have objects outside the window?
You realize this is not normal don't you?
Do you have the monitor set to the native resolution? If not change.

7. Re: Some photos outside viewing area Bridge CS5
Oiseauxxx Jul 23, 2010 9:48 AM (in response to Curt Y)I think I have not made myself clear--sorry about that. What I mean is that
the view of some of the photos is cut off. That is, I can see only part of
some of the photos. Scrolling through them by using the arrow keys has
shown that there are no photos that are completely hidden, which I feared at
first. By this I mean that I highlighted the photo to the left of the first
cut-off photo and then used the right arrow key to highlight successive
photos. The first photo highlighted by using the right arrow key was the
first cut-off photo (top row) and the second photo highlighted by using the
right arrow key was the first one in the second row. The cut-off photos are
only on the right side of the screen, at any and all window sizes. This
happens only in the Photoshop Bridge. I have not changed the monitor
resolution since buying this computer four or five weeks ago. And yes, I
realize this is not normal. It happens only in the Photoshop Bridge.

10. Re: Some photos outside viewing area Bridge CS5
Oiseauxxx Jul 23, 2010 10:36 AM (in response to Curt Y)The camera icon in the Bridge toolbar will only "Get photos from camera".
Is there a way to make it take a screenshot, or to send one?

11. Re: Some photos outside viewing area Bridge CS5
Curt Y Jul 23, 2010 10:45 AM (in response to Oiseauxxx)The camera icon is on the reply page next to emoticons (smiley face).
Take a screenshot, then save to a location. When typing relply click on camera icon and browse to file location and it will include in message text.

12. Re: Some photos outside viewing area Bridge CS5
Oiseauxxx Jul 23, 2010 10:54 AM (in response to Curt Y)Ah, you must have Outlook 2007, while I have only 2003.
I took 3 screenshots and inserted them into a message to send to you, but
they were over 8mb each, so I inserted them into a Word document to attach
and send. This still added up to 6mb. I can not figure out how to reduce
the size of the inserted screenshots. The stated size of the photos in
Format>Picture>Size is 2.3 x 5.8 inches, but still over 8mb total. There is
no way to reduce the resolution of the screenshot, and the screenshot will
not paste into a photo folder so that I can reduce its size through Windows
or Photoshop. Sorry about that.

Curt Y Jul 23, 2010 11:02 AM (in response to Oiseauxxx)OK, I see the problem. I have never used the e-mail to post messages. I post directly to the forum http://forums.adobe.com/community/bridge/bridge_windows.
You are making this way too hard. You do not need Outlook (never used it) or Word.
In the reply do you see the camera icon? If so look at my previous post on how to use it. A screen shot should be pretty small.
See too many problems with e-mail postings. For one if a message is edited to correct mistakes, or add a missing thought, the person viewing it with e-mail never sees the edited version.

Curt Y Jul 24, 2010 11:28 AM (in response to Oiseauxxx)Success! I am assuming this is just a part of the screen monitor as I don't see any scroll bars, toolbars, and the max and min buttons for windows.
Have you clicked on Widow/Workspace/Reset to Standard Workspace? If you have a corrupted workspace this should reset to factroy default.
What is monitor resolultion (1900 x 1620 or ? - may have to look a manual) and if you go into Windows Control panel - set display - what is it set for? They should match.

Stone.Pan Jul 25, 2010 11:46 PM (in response to Oiseauxxx)as Curt said, try to reset the workspace: by Widow->Workspace->Reset workspace.

prodic Jul 30, 2010 12:30 AM (in response to Oiseauxxx)As mentioned previously you should reset your preference file in order to restore the normal behaviour.
This error usually happens when you're using a customized or personalized workspace.

ChasLaird Aug 2, 2010 2:53 PM (in response to Oiseauxxx)Try clicking on the icon at the bottom of the window just to the right of the thumbnail size slider. The pop-up tool tip for this icon says “Click to lock thumbnail grid.”
I know this will ensure that only whole images show top to bottom, but I don’t know if it will work on the right side. I can’t duplicate your problem on my system to test it.

W4D Fashion Jan 3, 2012 6:45 AM (in response to Oiseauxxx)I had the same issue, (CS4) whereby what ever view selected the images seemed to roll off the screen. I tried all the usuaI Change 16bit to 32 and back again, deleted all Adobe PReference files to no avail. But what did work for me was if you created and named a new workspace, (Witin Brigde - Window_Workspace_New) the issue was resolved. Hope this helps?....
