Which version of OSX are you running?
10.4.11 - but I can't imagine that it's an OS problem... Director has been working flawlessly on this machine up until now. I've rebooted several times. I'm thinking that perhaps somehow the Director installation has been corrupted. My last resort (which may be close) is to reinstall.
Have you checked permissions on the folder you are trying to process? If it is read only that might explain it, though I don't know if it would alert you to that fact.
There are various troubleshooting options you could try for Macs.
Thanks for your help and suggestions - I did the re-install today and that solved the problem. Until next time...
